Aja Allen is a visual artist from Upper Marlboro, Md currently resides in North Carolina. Aja received her BA from University of Maryland in Art Studio/ Computer Graphics 2003. Even though she went down a different path career wise, her passion for painting never deteriorated. It wasnt until 2014, when a friend bought a painting she did in 2003. That moment encouraged her to pursue painting again professionally. Since then Aja showcased her Artwork at events such as Pancakes and Booze D.C in 2016 and 2017 and R.A.W Artists showcase 2018. Aja uses bold colors and brush strokes in her Artistic approach. She is not opposed to using found objects to convey texture as well. She has always been moved by abstract Art.
